About the Author:
Martina D. Evans is an attorney in private practice in the Baltimore/Washington DC area. She specializes in real estate and family law. As a CPA, Ms. Evans also practiced accounting for local firms. She received a Bachelor’s and joint law and MBA degrees from the University of Baltimore.

Prior to continuing her education at Baltimore City Community College and area universities Ms. Evans, attended Baltimore City public schools. Since 2005, Ms. Evans has visited Baltimore City public high schools and learning centers speaking to teen parents, encouraging them to continue their education. “One of the things I hope to accomplish is to assist teen parents with continuing their education or a trade. Hopefully, their child will see their parent value education and they themselves will value education and help break the negative cycles in our community. And because I believe a person is not truly successful unless they give back, I would be remiss if I didn’t do so.”

“I first thought of writing a book when I was eight but didn’t know how. However, the idea of putting my imagination, thoughts, stories, etc. on paper stayed with me. When I kept hearing these “unique” dating stories, I said, “It’s time.””

Ms. Evans, a native of Baltimore, is single and has one son, Kevin. She’s active in her children’s church ministry, has mentored youth and serves on a youth board in her community. She also enjoys acting and screenwriting. “This is my first book and I hope more are to come. It was a lot of hard work but it was worth it. Enjoy! And thank you for the support.”

“Keep writing for there’s a book in you.”

Ms. Evans is available as a guest at singles, women’s, young women’s and young adult ministries, schools, book clubs, talk shows and interviews, seminars and panel discussions, book stores, and other ministries, groups, and events. She will also visit your school or organization to speak to your teen parents about continuing their education. Please “Contact the Author” for scheduling.
